March 10, Harmony club
, 231 Milner Ave., Toronto, This is
one of the two most popular dance clubs in Toronto. They
always have excellent social music and certainly have the very best dinners
served on quality china at 7pm. to 9pm. The food quality
is a reflection of the owner/managers experience in his main business as a
caterer. It's tops. The cost of the dinner is less than it would
cost you if you went to any restaurants in the city without music. But
here you have both.. The dance floor is always very smooth and very easy to
dance on. The dancers are nicely dressed. About 50% are
singles. There is lots of room for free car
parking. In all the dances we have been to in the districts we cover it
certainly is among the top group of locations that we can recommend highly.

December 17, 2004, Toronto (North East), Harmony
Club ( Peter and Paul Banquet Hall ), This is one of the most active
and successful dance clubs in Southern Ontario. A very large ballroom with an
excellent wood floor. Beautifully decorated room, Table clothes on the round
tables seating up to 10 and believe me when I say they were almost all full
tables with extra tables brought in for the Singles and Couples. A full house of
happy, positive personalities. Dress was casual to showy with many men wearing
jackets. Ages ranged from 30 up to 80. A good selection of singles for everyone
to be matched. The music played by the DJ Bill Novak was outstanding. ( he
always plays what the crowd wants and needs ) Bill played all the latins, fox
trots, waltzes. and specialty music including some line dances. But the very
best part of the evening was the hot Christmas buffet served by the owner of the
club. His background is in operations of a high quality restaurant . As a
result, the food was nothing but the very best and attractively displayed and
served by his competent assistants. And this owner does something that I have
suggested many times to other dance locations that serve food. The food was
served at 8pm.to 9pm. A very important point for 2 reasons. You can dance off
the calories before bedtime and many older dancers leave earlier leaving the
dance floor less crowded for the younger dancers who stay later. And of course
there were the 50/50 draws, Gay gordon dances commonly played as well. We sat at
table #1 which has been reserved by Paul and Pauline for the past 8 yrs. .
We cannot speak more highly about this dance location. You must experience the
quality and friendly atmosphere for yourself. It's a must.

September 27, 2004 Toronto, ( North East )
AlleyCatz, A very active Latin Club,
Nicely dressed attractive dancers range from
25 up to 70 yrs of age. Mostly average around 40. The DJ , manager
and dance teacher Frank Bishun played classical Salsa
hits along with some cha cha, merengues, and bachata. Today
lessons in salsa were given by two excellent teachers from
"Dance from the Heart" dance
studio -- Peter and Ana. Entry is free to the dance club. Lessons are
$5.00 and well worth it.
Everyone were friendly. A nice place to spend the evening. And not over crowded.
