Teacher Profile – Dave and Val Bergin
Our teachers in August were Dave and Val Bergin and they taught us a great rumba routine. We will also have the pleasure of their teaching in coming months. Dave and Val have been teaching in Canada together for 35 years and do a lot of their teaching currently at the Burlington Social Club. They also teach at the Leander Boat Club and various private clubs. As some of you may know, Dave and Val have been instructors on cruise ships for six years…what a life! Their hobbies include reading, woodworking and decorating.

Teacher Profile – Suzette Risto
Suzette has
been teaching ballroom dancing for 30 years and very seldom takes a day off from
teaching. She teaches at the Leander Boat Club, at the Burlington Senior
Centre, at the Continental Dance Club in Mississauga, at the University of
Toronto and in Brantford as well as the Germania Club. Suzette has hosted 10
ballroom dance cruises through the warm, sunny islands. Guess what her favorite
hobby is…dancing, of course! She is available for seminars, coaching, teaching
and adjudicating.
